We did not start a business.
We opened the doors of homes we already loved.

A small Florentine team, four addresses in the historic centre, and a city we have known since we were children.

How it began

One apartment, then another.

It started with a single apartment in the Oltrarno that one of us had inherited. We restored it slowly — by hand, with the right craftspeople, the way our grandmother would have wanted. Friends asked if they could stay. Then friends of friends. Then strangers found us, and stayed, and wrote us long messages afterwards.

We realised there was a different way to host travellers in Florence. Not as a property manager with a spreadsheet. Not as a hotel chain. As neighbours, in a city we love, opening doors to people we are happy to meet.

Today there are four properties. Two private apartments and two affittacamere. We are still a small team. We still answer every message ourselves.

All four properties are in Florence. We have no plans to expand. We would rather know our city deeply than know many cities lightly.

Hosted by humans

Every message is read and answered by one of us. There is no front desk staffed at midnight by someone who has never set foot in Florence. There is just us.

A typical morning

This is what we do every day.

One of us is at the Sant'Ambrogio market by 7 AM, picking up fresh flowers for Street Art Inn Florence and chatting with the woman who sells the cheese. Another is at Borgo Allegri Apartment turning down the bed and topping up the welcome basket. The phone rings: a guest arriving early, asking if we can store their luggage. Of course we can.

It is not glamorous. But it is the work, and we love it.
